So I'm super excited to launch something I've been working on for a while, silk yarn in 2 ply lace weight (left), and 4 ply fingering weight (right). Yay!
The lace weight yarn has 3 plies (but is 2 ply weight!) and high twist. It's a smooth, strong and shiny yarn.
The 4 ply/fingering is made up of 2 loosely spun plies, giving a soft and lustrous yarn.
They come in hanks of 80 g +, which in the lace is over 630m, and the 4ply is 260m+.
And here's the best part: I'm giving a skein away, in the winners choice of weight and colour, I'll even do a custom dye! To enter all you need to do is visit the shop, and let me know which is your favourite....and if your favourite colour isn't there, let me know what it would be! Competition is open to international folk, and I'll draw a winner on Monday afternoon.
Comments now closed- the winner was Brenda Chawner- please contact me to claim your prize :)
My favourite would be Merry-go-round; though I also like a good rich purple!

ReplyDeleteI love the colours, especially the dark red, would love to see a deep dark blue colour (dark teal or Sapphire) and a raspberry :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Hydrangea colour. I would love to see some nice bright summery yellow to warm up the winter with.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL! my favourite is the 4ply in Merry-go-round.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite is Sky 4ply, but I'm rather partial to the Merry-go-round too....
I like the smokey grey tones, I'm wearing alot of grey this winter but would love a shiny kind of crimson red to go go with my hot new patent crimson boots!
ReplyDeletei just bought the silver one before i realised there was this giveaway! So of course i LOVE the silver one, and i also really like the turquoise one. I'm going to knit the Traveling Woman shawl with my silver skein. And if i won another skein, i'd be super excited and knit up something else for myself!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Forest cos I'm a sucker for green :)
ReplyDeleteMerry-go-round would be a close second though.
Beautiful.
Merry-go-round stands out, my mother would just love it!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is Smoke and Mirrors, I'd love to make a silver shawl.
ReplyDeleteYour yarns all look so beautiful, I immediately favorited your shop. If I had to choose just one, I think the Hydrangea would 'win' this time. As for suggestions for new colorways, anything teal is a success with me. Also, it's not always possible to find interesting greys, so more of that (like grey moving slowly towards purple, etc.)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Hydrangea, but it's hard to pick one, as they're all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the Hydrangea,it's hard to just pick one, as they're all so lovely! But the pale turquoisey blue through to deep purple looks so great together
ReplyDeleteI think I like the turquoise one the best: http://www.etsy.com/listing/51473895/2-ply-silk-yarn?ref=v1_other_1
ReplyDeleteLovely yarns! Glad I found you...
I love the "foresty green tones" one! :)
ReplyDeleteI think the Hydrangea is my favorite. I think though that something with an autumnal palette (golds, reds, a bit of brown and maybe a splash of green) would look really nice in this yarn. The sheen would really make the colors pop.
ReplyDelete4 ply in mulberry merry go round is da yarn bomb! Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteoh goodness! I think "sky" is my favorite! These are all so shiny and vibrant! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteYou do make it difficult for those of us that have indecision problems!
ReplyDeleteI think I like Forest the best, but Hydrangea is right on it's heels. They are all gorgeous!
Smoke and mirrors is amaaaazing! And silk! Yummmmmmm.

The smokey grey is my fave-subtle and sophisticated :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the smoky grey and would prefer the laceweight. What gorgeous colours to choose from.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful yarns! My favourite is the Merry go round 4 ply.
ReplyDeleteHydrangea is beautiful but I think my absolute favourite is Merry Go Round, probably in the 2 ply. I seem to be on a bit of a red kick at the moment but the blue tonings are sure coming in a close second!
ReplyDeleteThey're all beautiful, but my favourite is the 2-ply Smoke and Mirrors.
ReplyDeletepoor blaze no-one picked that colour!!
ReplyDeleteActually don't let me win because i have too many other projects in the pipe line.
they do look fantabulous!
That green one is amazing, but I like the red one too. They are really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBTW I visited your Mum and Dad's farm in the holidays and it was great to meet them. The kids had a ride on the tractor and loved looking at the cows and pigs- it was awesome.
the turquoise wins hands down for me. i love that pool blue. could just dive in.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is smoke and mirrors, but I'm also tempted by the hydrangea. All the colours look lovely!
ReplyDeleteIs it too late to enter? I think the deep red purple lace silk is stunning!
